Folded ("we", "us") is gathering early interest from local households ahead of launch in Salisbury and the surrounding villages. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We take your privacy seriously and only ask for what we genuinely need.

Who we are

What we collect

When you complete the interest form, we collect the details you choose to provide: your first name, email address, postcode, an optional phone number, and your answers to our research questions. These include who the service would be for, how often you would use it, the items you want help with, what would prompt you to try Folded, what matters most when choosing a service like ours, your views on fair pricing, how likely you would be to try Folded, how disappointed you would be if it never launched, and any optional comments you leave.

Providing a phone number is optional. If you give us one, we will only use it to send you text updates about Folded, such as a message when laundry has been collected or returned once the service is running. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Why we collect it

We use this information for two purposes. First, to contact you about Folded as we explore and prepare for launch, including by email and, if you have given a number, text message. Second, to understand demand and shape the service so it genuinely suits local households. Pricing and preference answers are reviewed in aggregate to help us design the right offer.

Our lawful basis

We process your details on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove your details promptly.

How your data is stored

Form submissions are handled by our form provider, Formspree, and delivered securely to us by email. We keep your information only for as long as we are developing and launching Folded, and no longer than necessary for the purposes above. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@foldedlaundry.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We may store a small amount of information in your browser to remember that you have completed the form, but this is not shared with anyone.

As Folded moves towards launch, we may update this policy. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
